A blog! Brilliant idea. Or is it?? I guess you will have to let me know!
I just shared my exciting news on Facebook… and here it is:
After years of working as a photographer, I have finally decided to build MY VERY OWN STUDIO!!!
I am ecstatic about it. It’s something I’ve been dreaming about for a while and it is becoming a reality.
I will be posting updates right here on my blog, so you can share in my excitement with me! I’m pretty sure I looked at my muddy backyard all week with a perma-grin. Ha
I will be posting more about the studio; but first, I’ll be answering a few questions I’ve been asked… and if you have a question that I did not address, please send me a private message!
Will you still take outdoor photos?
YES!! I love love love taking beautiful photos in nature and will continue to offer these.
Most of the photos you take are outdoor. Why do you need a studio?
There is a lot that happens behind the scenes for photographers that clients do not see, but I'm sure I'll take you behind the scenes in the future!
I'm grateful that I have been able to build a business out of my home office, but it is starting to crowd some of my family space, so I am looking forward to giving some of this space back to them. Also, our winter season is long and having a space to photograph indoors, and a backup location for rainy days will be very beneficial.
Are you going to be a full time photographer?
Because I was almost a “full time” photographer before, many of you don’t know that I was also working another full time job all these years.
That changed earlier this year when I had to take a medical leave for a few months. It’s been a year with a lot of unexpected adventures; it has reminded me that life is short, follow your dreams!
For now, I will be focusing on building my studio. I don’t know what the future holds, but please stay in touch and come along with me on this journey!
I have an amazing team of supporters all around me… my hubby, my family and friends, my clients, my co-workers… I am so grateful for each of you. Thank you!
